As proven by another SFS guest, Mathieu Pradat, creative jobs can often be interlinked. Pradat made his first low-cost VR film Proxima, with a story based on his dream, within just a few days. It won him prizes at Berlinale, Cannes and Venice. At SFS, Pradat talked about his journey towards the new technology.

In his masterclass, Mathieu Pradat explained the process of making his latest VR experience entitled Proxima. He described his first sketches, the way he looked for a suitable location and actors, and how he worked with the VR effects or sound. He also stressed some of the disadvantages of virtual reality, such as the fact that his camera could not create a faithful reproduction of nakedness in its real beauty.
